Cavona Sleeping Lion
This sleeping lion is delightful. The original was sculptured by Antonio Cavona (1757 – 1822) for Clement XIII’s tomb in St Peter’s Rome.
Hand made in British gypsum plaster by modern souvenirs of bath from an original obtained from the Canova workshop.
It will make a statement decoration wherever you choose to place it.
It is boxed and is also ideal for a gift.
It stands approx. 11cm (4.5″) high x 21cm (8″) long.
